Scotland's Beef Event

The British Wagyu Breeders Association & Warrendale Wagyu will be part of the Scottish Beef Association’s Beef Event on Tuesday 6th June 2023 hosted by Dalswinton Estate which is nestled in the heart of the Nith Valley, seven miles north of Dumfries.

The Association is working hard to position the sector so its members can thrive and advance their business as change occurs. As part of our work we are planning to bring the Industry together for a day at the leading commercial suckler herd farm on the Dalswinton Estate, Dumfriesshire and would like to invite you to become involved and help shape the future by supporting this recognised event as a breed society exhibitor.

Dalswinton is set in a beautiful landscape which creates a wonderful environment for visitors to enjoy the rural setting. The day itself will consist of:

  • Over 15 cattle breeds on display with exhibitions from each breed

  • Over 550 cattle available to view on-farm

  • A ‘Thought Leadership’ conference in The Dalswinton Estate Marquee for 200 people on the morning of the event – 9.30 am to 12.00 noon

  • An estate tour lasting one hour using tractors and trailers for visitors to tour all the enterprises

  • An exhibition from Scottish beef processors

  • An exhibition from Quality Meat Scotland

  • An exhibition from Scottish Butchers

  • An exhibition of the Dalswinton Estate Biodiversity and Carbon Omission review

  • An exhibition from the Scottish Government outlining the proposals for the new Rural Subsidy regime and what this mean for Scottish Beef Producers.
